i do think yeonwoo was sincerely drunk and didnt mean to do it but i ALSO think taehwan is well within his rights to assume otherwise based on their past. i think the disconnect people seem ot be having is assuming that taehwan is treating yeonwoo like htis cause he thinks of yeonwoo is as some easy to bully gay boi that taehwan can vent his homophobia on or something but that's llike....so not it? and there's plenty of stuff in the story to prove that its NOT that. Like for ex, when he said " did u come to america to do things like this" im PRETTY sure he didnt mean jumping on random dudes so much as using dojin and taehee as a bridge to hit on taehwan, which would make more sense otherwise why bring those two up who dont even have a foot in the queer community in their area at all? (nor does yeonwoo for that matter).
Taehwan's behavior makes sense when u think about it from his perspective. he genuinely liked and trusted yeonwoo, he was also not sleeping much at his host family's house (which yeonwoo was even noticing!) and yeonwoo by his own admission felt threatened and desperate cause he saw taehwan kissing a girl. tae doesnt know this but WE do. yeonwoo's actions were inconsiderate and self motivated. but also he was a teen and is very sorry so i dont hate or blame yeonwoo BUT taehwan is the one who was hurt. taehwan is the one who cannot tolerate feeling betrayed by people he trusted. even yeonwoo realized that his anger at dojin was cause of his closeness to dojin. from tae's perspective Yeonwoo isnt truly sorry. he's not harmless or sweet but a predator, or even a stalker or at the very least an opportunist who pretended to be taehwan's friend so he could get taehwan to do sex stuff with him. which might seem like a big leap but will make more sense when we learn more about taehwan's trauma but even without that knowledge i think its fair to say that taehwan has a right to be hurt. and in fact its because he's STILL hurt that he feels this anger. he resents yeonwoo's pitiful face because he thinks its an act to get what he wants. so taehwan is like SURE ill give u what u want but only in a demeaning way and since ur a little pervert u will prob like it anyway~ and the thing is if yeonwoo had said NO. taehwan woulda left but he didnt. because yeonwoo is a little pervert but he's NOT the other things that taehwan is prob thinking of him right now. his coldness came from a legitimate reason. i wish more people wouldnt infantalize yeonwoo or demonize taehwan in this way cause the reality is alot more complicated. its not as simple as 1 being Good and the other Bad. and in fact this complexity is the charm of this story so its a shame so many people seem to be actively ignoring all the details taht would paint a clear picture as to why taehwan is behaving like this (and ofc even if taehwan's feelings are still up to interpretation. yeonwoo's feelings are clear as day, he a masochist who wants taehwan to fuck him up so like...lets not pretend that its otherwise)
Y’all putting all the blame on Taehwan as if Yeonwu didn’t kiss him and make advances on Taehwan without consent. He had every right to be upset that he was kissed without consent whether it’s same sex or not. Taehwan truly did treat Yeonwu kindly when they were friends and trusted him yet it was Yeonwu who got ahead of himself and fucked it up. Now I’m not saying all the shit Taehwan is now saying is justified, he shouldn’t still say hateful things but y’all can’t be putting all the blame on him. Also this entire ch was consensual if anything wasn’t consensual it was once again Yeonwu tryna pull a fast one on Taehwan and kiss him bc he was “drunk.” Yeonwu gave Taehwan head bc he wanted to (granted again Taehwan didn’t need to say all of that shit about being gross and a turn off but it wasn’t a horrendous action).
