I actually dont understand. This isn't criticism toward jooin or author-nim. I'm just a little confused. Yahwi clearly treats him well and better and different than anyone else. That shows jooins special to him to an extent. Yahwi already said he likes him. Their relationship was built on physical chemistry only (at first) so it's understandable yahwi can't say he's in love with him yet and we know he has some trauma with love.
I get in the beginning why jooin was mad with the money and everything. That's disrespectful, yes. But Yahwi learned from that. With the friend thing (when jooin tried to say shit to the friend group and yahwi told him to stop), I understand why Jooin was pissed but I think Yahwi just didn't want him to make things harder for himself and have people continue talking shit about him. Not everyone is confrontational and Yahwi isn't the type to make a fuss about things that seem troublesome. I don't get what Jooin wants.
