Thirteen is the minimum for all prefectures but each prefecture has their own laws. I believe it’s usually around 16-18 for most of the country.
lordy even 16 is too young in my opinion (though im pretty sure thats my states age of consent as well)

so i just want to say that age of consent in japan is actually 13. (yeah i know its scary) so i think thats the reason why people are not seeing it as something to be disturbed etc. and mc is actually 15+ so personally it doesnt make me feel disgusted but if she was a minor then it would be a real problem. and in some countries age of consent is 16, 18 etc. so she is actually considered as an adult (in japan at least) so she is not a minor in the story. i guess
