This is the thing that people don't get.
If you don't like this type of thing you have the right to speak your mind, if you think the content of the story is crap and offensive, you have the right to say it. We are not judging anyone we are simply saying that we don't like this type of abuse towards women specially since most of BL readers are women. Yes we feel disgusted. Now not everyone likes harada sensei work, not everyone can relate to that either. But as women and knowing that abuse of sort happens in rl is rather frustrating and offensive reading such a thing. I am not saying that abuse in yaoi is okay, cause is not. But this one is wayy to much and we have the right to express ourselves.

The main difference is you'll never see harem in yaoi where five guys satisfy a single main character's sexual needs while scantily-clad, or where all submissives/ukes are enslaved, raped and tortured en masse.

The problem is this manga goes head-first into abuse without giving some contextualization or properly introducing the main character's feelings about the abuse going on around him. It gets right into gratituous violence without any context, explanation as to why nor POV that non-slaves see anything wrong with it.

I think this was aimed at my post? Just for the heads up, I actually agree with what you are saying. I'm just having a hard time getting my point across in a way that everyone will understand.

    1) Everyone has a right to express what they feel about the manga
    2) If you don't like the manga - That's okay too.
    3) You relate to the characters as a woman? Heck, I do too!
    4) Don't compare this genre of manga and Yaoi. They are aimed towards two completely different audiences - So we get that the Yaoi community does not like it ...
    5) Just because you're a woman you have to feel offended?
    6) Both Yaoi and this Genre can have rape, bondage, no storyline etc...
    7) Saying stuff like 'Oh! This is another one of those rapey, perverted echhi mangas', makes those who are reading it feel like shit (Not a direct quote) ... It's probably not intentional but still ...
    8) Yes this type of manga probably has no storyline and is all about rape, boobs, pussy and shit. But, guess what? It isn't aimed at you! And, it actually sells really well!!!

Sorry for saying this on your post @Miara but I didn't know how else to get it out.

1: I was giving an example that even in yaoi not everyone likes violence.

2: I was not comparing anything, people have the right to like whatever they want and I will not judge.

3: As a woman, I could put myself in those characters shoes, however I never suffered of such violence, so I guess I can't relate, but those who have can.

4: Blame the genre mistake, that was first seen and aimed to "yaoi community" as to why many of us commented.

5: Just because I am me, I have the right to feel anything I want.

6: Any genre can have violence as well as no plot, but that's okay for those who enjoy it.

7: Again, people have the right to say what they want, But i do agree that trying to humiliate the author work and those who like it, is not a good thing to do eitheir and I am against it.

8: You are right is not aimed at me, and I couldn't care less if it sells or not or if is about boobs and the rest of the stuff mentioned.

Its okay, don't worry about it. Oh and I wasn't answering your other post or anything, I do agree with some of your view points menioned in your other post. I am the type of person to say what I think and so the reason for my post.

Noted. Thanks for considering my viewpoints. I appreciate it. I understand everyone's viewpoints are different and I appreciate yours just as much. I think I have caused a large amount of ruckus regarding this manga. I'm glad it's been sorted now.

No problem, is good to respect everyone point of view and sometimes reflect on it and I'm sure you didn't mean to cause any ruckus, you just gave your opinion and that's okay :)

It's fiction and not real. I'm a women and fictional stuff doesn't bother me at all because it's not related with the real life. Also, in that time (the middle ages or whatever past that is) there are slave markets (like the modern times) so of course there's rape since these men treat women like pigs (eww) but again, if you don't like any story containing rape then skip the page or don't read it. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I think is pretty obvious that I read it to find out what this was about also like I mentioned before it was first seen as yaoi and I read all types of yaoi, the genre itself was misleading from the beginning. Yes it's fictional and can't hurt us (women) but if I don't like something I say it. I already skipped this ages ago I even forgot I had post this here, anyway is not rape that bothers me I read alot of rape stories, is the beating and extreme violence that ticks me off and since I'm done with this topic, I have nothing else to say. Bye bye
