I think he’s an asshole to him because he saw Shen Yu with another man if I remember correctly. So he just got mad at him. It was all a misunderstanding
When lord's wofe was "fake attacked" and the men threw Shen Yu off the mountain, the lord searched for him all night but the wife's brother (king) found Shen Yu unconscious and took him to Lord. and then he said some things to lord implying that Shen Yu had sex with him. which obviously he didn't. Now lord thinks Shen Yu will sleep with anyone and Shen Yu is unable to make him believe it's a lie.
the king did it bcoz his motives are exactly same as his sister's. i.e. separating Zhenbei and Shen Yu

I'm literally so confused? I don't understand why the Lord just suddenly decided to be an asshole to Shen Yu? Can we please go back to the time where he was kinda sweet to him? Can anyone explain why he's being like this? Or is he just a weirdass tsundere?
