He cared about her even in the past but I have read spoilers and it says that the father is an introvert and doesn't know how to Express his feelings at all ,, they even mentioned that he considered her a celestial being that should not be touched or it would be hurt Lmao!! And even when max was young all her father talked about was her and everything she does which made max wants to kill her LOL .. I know it doesn't justify that he actually neglected her somehow but at least it wasn't intentional ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Even though it wasn't intentional, his actions lead to misunderstanding. In the end, he lost his daughter.

I seriously don't like how it's brushed off how the father neglected her for most of her life and he's just now showing his affection ??? That's not okay, such sudden changes can make you question things even more and have negative urges. Like yes I appreciate your love but why now, didn't u neglect me this whole time? In a way, he could've been too late to show his love and she might've gone too far into not receiving love then reject his love. I hope she addresses it bc she literally grew up with no love and thrived to be loved and now he's suddenly showing all this affection, I don't blame her for taking it the wrong way.
