Just as the church conspired, the nation blamed Shuli's death on pagan escapees and exploded in anger. No one cared whether it was a conspiracy or for Shuli herself, they just wanted the pagans to be executed. Like the hypocrite people are, the same people who used to taunt Shuli now gave her a rosy image calling her the "daughter of God".
The guard Captain was sentenced to death bcoz he failed to protect Shuli.....which he accepted because he believed himself guilty for not stopping Shuli and even resenting her at times.
Jeremy went mad because he actually loved Shuli ( I don't understand the lover part so I am assuming it meant he loved Shuli, romantic or filial who knows)
Nora loved Shuli since his first encounter with her in the banquet when Shuli understood he was hurting. Nora was the only person who understood why Shuli did what she did. Even though he loved her he couldn't reveal himself nor could support her because he was the king's secret service. So he cried in Shuli's murder scene in grief and regret.
