In most cases, when an instrument that is complicated like the violin shows up in a manhua or manga there's at least some problems with it because the artist doesn't bother to look at a reference, or they use stock images that are just plain wrong. The same goes for portraying archery in a medieval European setting, they often use asian archery as a reference, not knowing that there's a difference. Usually the arrow is on the wrong side of the bow (thus defying gravity) and/or there's something wrong with the posture etc. The fact that the artist doesn't even bother to find a good reference or do any research means they're lazy. End of rant.
