Could be. I just want the author to be authentic and give us the story she wants. It may not be as cute and fluffy but I'd still read it.

Honestly this. Based on past interviews with BD she does seem to really like dark and violent plots so i feel like the recent chapter is definitely fanservice (i mean i aint complaining i love a soft seungho) but people can be such harsh critics. I read potn while keeping in mind that it’s fictional and someone like seungho irl should be kept away from society lol so i wouldnt mind if she kept things dark and gory if thats how she really wants the story to go. Perhaps if potn wasnt as popular the storyline would be different to how it is now
An author doesn't have the obligation to engage with the readers. If she does it's because she wants to please them. No one is putting a gun against her head, she's doing what she wants.
Does she though? Is this her pleasing her fans or is she being forced to adjust her story cause this is ultimately her business? You can't do whatever you want when you get paid by other people's engagement and remarks. Tricky situation.

no, I'm sure she has somewhat adjusted the story to satisfy her reader. Of course not all of it, but she has definitely done it at some point in the story. She even said in a interview that she would have planned to have more blood and violence in the story but it's important to her that her readers are happy.

i actually kinda feel bad for BD bcs it's like she's forcing herself to write the story like this to please her readers when in reality, her actual taste is more gorey and dark. like she's starting to add more fluff kinda but at the start, the story was darker and messed up which was more kind of wht she liked, i feel. i hope fans dont personally attack her anymore on her twitter when smth isn't to your taste
