Whatever happened in chapter 1, the truth is that he GOT the holy grail. We might have seen the end already, or maybe his wish has something to do with moving back in time and leading his past self through the diary entries. Either way, it makes sense that the story will be moving forward to the fact that he is such an important figure in the parallel world.

However, even with all this talk about the war of the races, his goal never changed: to see his wife and daughter again. If the holy grail will allow this, he will do it. This was NEVER a revenge story... so idk why some of you are hung up about his family's murderer being revealed too early and that he lost his "goal" or whatever. Since when was revenge his ultimate objective??

Also, I like that even though he has unimaginable strength and monster potential; he is not invincible. And I think this makes him interesting even when he is technically considered OP. This prevents him from becoming a boring, flat character with absolutely no development whatsoever.

I don't really see any reason why this is getting lame/boring for some of you. I am actually pretty excited about the war. But oh well, each to his own I suppose.

Thank you for coming to my lengthy-ass TED talk.

((also, the art style is lit, the artist puts a lot of thought into panel composition and pacing of action scenes --- those who complain about it will get a smacking))

Before you read my comment, I just wanted to say that. I’m not trying to be rude or anything but for some of us thinks this is boring and stuff. It’s because it’s complicated to read and it will be a boring to read too, for example 'killing zombie' only doesn’t entertain us at all. There must be something more excited, what makes us excited is what he will wish at the end.

No worries, I totally understand as well what you mean. There were certainly parts of the story that were dragging on, or cramming too much information on one chapter.

My original comment was aimed more towards the people who somehow thought this was focused mainly on revenge against his family's murderer, and were complaining about the shift in the plot now that it is focusing more on the war of the races and the holy grail.

Maybe I'm just trying to keep a positive impression and hoping that we will get to the big battles sooner or later.

I pretty much agree with everything you said. His goal is to revive his family and everything else is secondary. Maybe the dairy is his and the reason he may have went back in time was because there was too much loss in the future or the souls of his wife and daughter were corrupted by demons etc etc
