i said from the start he clearly has trust issues from trauma way before
all that shit got revealed in the raws and im like pressed that u guys couldnt pick up on it without the horror show of his childhood backstory. smh!! (i knew it as early as s1! no one flips out and goes ice cold like that unless they've been burned rly bad in the past by a shitty friend/betrayal) and in tae's case it was Multiple times with devastating consequences. (the redhaired "friend" from his kid days didnt just turn on him he helped incite the bullies in the first place, basically orchestrating his misery in the first place for a petty reason...its implied it was cause he was jealous of taehwan but its not outright said since i dont think /taehwan/ knew why, it was just the author trying to give us an idea wtf redhead's problem was). and thankfully he was saved before he had to eat the frog but let us notice now that he got attacked with the frog (in his bed! while he's Asleep!) and that grown man who its not yet stated but certainly implied came in with the Bad Touch, prob also did it while taehwan was asleep. so it puts what yeonwoo did in perspective doesnt it? like i said taehwan isnt being a dick cause yeonwoo is gay or smth but cause he assaulted him which is wrong period but downright /triggering/ when it happens to someone with deep seated trauma. it was even implied in the highschool flashbacks that he was struggling to sleep in his host family's house (becuz i mean ofc he was, people get insomnia over less...) anyway idk how he didnt need intense counseling after that and maintained his mind but i rly wonder how long he can act like he's Just fine before he realizes he's rlyyyy not. (or perhaps someone will have to realize it for him...)
I made a topic about Taehwan being a dick and that his actions towards Yeonwu are quite unnecessary and inexcusable because simply getting bullied doesn’t mean you have to do what he does.
Sis doing a u-turn because I read the raws and found out that Taehwan was forced to eat a frog by some white kids, got betrayed by his only friend in the boarding school and was also molested by a teacher who he thought was a friend. In short, this guy is way too psychologically scarred to be held accountable for the shit he does to Yeonwu. The best thing for him is character development and thankfully that is happening as the chapters progress.
