The girl's mom seems gay, but she seems more concerned about how people mistreats gay people, I don't think she is a homophobic.
The boy's mom doesn't seem gay at all, and I am not sure she is a homophobic, because she had no problem seeing gays on TV, but when society still rejects it, finding out that your own son is gay must be hard. She seems to be starting to accept It, she just needs some more time.
