AYE this reply is really late, but im glad i found this comment! they've probably been together for a long time (maybe 4-5 years), so it'd be a bit weird to just suddenly let go of that, although i do hope it gets revealed that he did that (when they were pretty young!!!)
I feel this is about one of Harada's works. I wonder what mc'd feel about what his current lover did back then. I mean it's so stupid, he just said some shit about gays and that's all it took? Yeah the guy was young but so was the Mac's lover. Neither of them are horrible, honestly.

right!!! they were really young so it was understandable that he acted that way, so now he needs to toughen up and face the consequences of what he did that day and he should really be confident about himself because im sure the mc wouldnt have stayed with him for 4-5 years if they didn't love each other even just a bit!
Right, this is just Harada making everything look worse than it is.
Everyone is saying the mc should break up with the uke and let him go to the other one but this one sounds quite realistic and in real life, it wouldn't be strange if the uke didn't want that. I mean, as he said, the other one is diggin up a first love, something that never begun vs a love cultivated through years. Betting everything and leaving all you have behind for a first love is kinda unsettling, scary and a difficult decision for an adult.
