I dunno man, I feel like he didn't love Subaru in a sexual way when he was younger. I mean, you can love someone and have it not be sexual. Like how I love my best friend more than my boyfriend, but I can never see her in a sexual way. It's more of the feeling of not wanting to lose someone cause they're the brightest thing in your life. You love that person. You will die if you lose that person. As to how it become sexual, I guess it depends on how the other person sees you. Cause honestly if my best friend ever tells me she's in love with me in that way, I can see myself falling for them that way too. It's a guilty sort of love cause you know deep in your heart that you can love them in many ways, but you won't let yourself because you know that's not the kind of relationship you guys have. I dunno like maybe that's how the uke feels.
