well according to the novel if i remember correctly anastascious or whatever tf his name is is actually an emperor from way way back aka the kid lucas rejected being his disciple. long story short after lucas consumes the world tree branch and stuff he wakes up claude. anastacious kisses up to lucas feet he reveals hes the actual black towers magician and stuff then jeanette isnt sweet anymore (i was really sad for jeanette) but yeah it isnt looking pretty for jeanette,,,, gosh i wanna mention the side stories and what happens next because its honestly so adorable and i wish it would be drawn already but we have to wait. sorry for any miss infos its been awhile since the novel ended. thanks for listening to my tedtalk snhiuasbhbs

If she does become evil, I can't try to understand her any longer. I keep telling people that she's naive and stuff like that cause she's sheltered and all that. But if she turned evil? Then I can't fight for her any longer. She has a choice whether or not to change. She could've tried talking to her and clear up any miscommunication or misunderstandings that she cooked up in her head (with his father's manipulation). But she didn't. She chose, death.

in the original novel of "the lovely princess" world jeanette knew all along that claude killed her father and that she said if she couldn't have a family then neither could the original athy or something but yeah essentially she was talking about how she having claude is the least they could do for her so she was mad when claude was getting sick because of the blackmagic from him removing his memories of diana and stuff.
but in athys time line i dont think jeanette knew anything about this and that she really did like athy but then sorta got all twisted again and in the end got banished along with Ejikiel

hmm im not sure really I think its some what to accompany Jeanette aswell and at the time of their departure Jeanette was mad cause Ejikiel/Ezekiel had feelings for athy when Jeanette liked him so I think he might have felt Obligated or something im not sure of the reason but yeah
