i don't think prefering BL over GL or straight manga is anything to be proud of it just means you're fetishizing gay people. there's nothing wrong with reading it though just don't go around saying you wish it was BL in the comments section of straight manga
Hmm, I' m not sure it's accurate to say you're fetishizing gay people because someone might prefer gay stories over straight ones or lesbian ones. No one would say that people are fetishizing straight people if they prefer straight stories over gay stories. Fetishizing would be having an abnormal interest in it, but a preference for one thing over the other is not necessary an abnormal interest. Don't get me wrong, there are 100% people who fetishize gay people but it's not right to say a preference equals a fetish
i mean if you're gay then naturally you might prefer BL over GL or straight manga but i think being a fujoshi is just fetishizing, which is not really a huge problem unless it affects real people though it's kinda...you know...gross. i don't get why people would wanna be addressed with a term that's used for straight girls who are obssessed with gay porn. i know some people who prefer BL simply because the female characters in japanese manga are pushovers and flustrating as hell (which i mostly agree with) and good straight porn for women is almost non-existent but it's really annoying to see people complain about a character's sexuality or gender just because they wanna see two dudes hooking up
