no as he mentioned - and you pointed out correctly - usually only infants have this problem and their small bodies can be cured by light touches. But as the seme pointed out the case is different with this fully grown man who - in his entire life span - never came in touch with magic before and was now confronted with one of the most powerful magic spells in existence., something even an infant usually would not come in touch with. SO he had to go to excessive lengths to balance everything out meaning he had to "inject" the uke's body with magic to make the body adapt to the huge amount of magic which was clashing inside of him. Some light touches or hugging would not have been sufficient in the least.
