I personally like this better than the original. Katarina has already built such a huge reputation and even a ruined relationship with Keith for years, and now she has to repair all of it which will take a lot of time and effort. There is more drama, and she has to work to gain the likings of others, while in the original as a child they already liked her. Regaining her memories at a later stage creates much more unique opportunities with how the author can play with the story and the characters. People like Geordo and Keith already knew her for years as a spoiled, selfish, mean brat. Now she has suddenly changed and imagine how amazing we will see the character change and development in Keith towards Katarina where he goes from hating her to loving her. See how interesting and exciting that will be?
