It's called cultural difference an example would be let's say an Indian Muslim suddenly moved to America there'd be alot of cultural differences for example views on modesty and many more it'd take atleast a year for her to get used to her new "normal". and they do explain to her things, slowly cause it takes time to learn everything. there is no way you will learn a whole culture in one night or one day, there is no way!
