uhh being emotionally unavailable, and taking a breather/alone time is not abandoning a kid if u know. and he left byul in the hands of his other caring family members like dojin. parents deserve to take break, he is going thru tough trauma. and found out abt stuff he didn’t know, u can’t expect him to step up and act fine. you rlly think he is gonna turn his back on byul, it’s only been a day/chapter he just needs healing. and unlike umm self who was left with a shitty dad, byul is just left in the care of his dad while hyesung tries to cope. he literally loves byul sm, he deserves to take break after all that happened he passed out too.
Yes, he is a victim and he has all the right to be traumatized, but that trauma is NOT an excuse to take that same trauma of abandonment and transfer it onto his child by turning his back on him. If that happens for a prolonged period of time, then he turns from a victim into a perpertrator. Most perpertrators were victims who could not cut the cycle of abuse and once you are a parent yourself, you have to acknowledge the damage and work towards not repeating it. It's hard and it's not fair, but it's the right thing to do.
I'm tired of people using trauma as excuse to inflict more trauma. Hyesung was abused, yes, and he's a victim, but he's also an adult and a parent and he shouldn't be pushing his child away like that because that's him repeating that trauma and starting the cycle all over again
