Indifference is NOT a crime!

Look, I understand why you all hate him, but it was an arranged political marriage and they met ONCE, YEARS before they were married in the first time line. I sure as shit wouldn't want to give my time to someone chosen for me. His indifference is not a crime, nor a sin. HE DID NOT POISON HER!! So, let's stop with that. As for the show at her funeral? Politics, plain and simple. The people loved her, so to keep their favor he acted like he did. It is human nature to only notice something once it's gone. He noticed the small things she did for him after she left, because it wasn't being done anymore. It piqued his curiosity, and through that he learned his "perfect doll like" empress wasn't who he thought she was. He is NOT the villain here! Again, BEING INDIFFERENT IS NOT A CRIME!

Want to hate someone? Her parents are a wonderful target for that.

As for our ML, he's realized what his indifference caused, and he's working to fix it. He's even said that he's willing to step aside and let her chose someone else if that's what SHE wants. Wanting him to suffer for something that was entirely normal is ridiculous. I mean, he could've gone the route of actual historical royals and just beheaded his empress because he was displeased with her.

Then again, I doubt my words will convince you all otherwise. Continue to hate on him, and feel wronged when, in the end, she choses him and they live happily together.

THIS. I cannot tell you how much I've been waiting for someone to say the same things I did. I don't understand all this unneceasary hate on a man who was simply indifferent to his wife.

    ╥﹏╥

The fact that he was indifferent means he's a jerk and an asshole to some people and I'm like..... why?????? They paint such an ugly picture of him as though he's such a horrible person when all he did was be indifferent towards his wife who he married as part of an arranged marriage.

ikr, I will get it if his inference turned into negligence, and he pretended blindness while she was being abuse in the palace, but that was not the case, she was loved and respected by her people, but she was not his cup of tea for how fake she looked in his eyes, because, well, she was fake, her every action was, but deep down there was this person desperate for love, someone he couldn't see.

It was an asshole move to not even want to know her? Yes.
It was THAT much of a grave sin? Not in my eyes.
