I didnt like the fact that he knew the Emperor actually liked her...but he still tried to get Mia to have hope in becoming the empress....it just felt manipulative and evil(because it means he doesnt care about who is getting hurt and just wants her)....plus those evil grins where not doing it for me....lol

I think he does since he keeps approaching her and trying to (help her?)....and especially since he was trying to get Mia to keep approaching the emperor... so he basically just trying to break them off
