Exactly. I honestly want to know what drives Yama to do all these things. Was it because of power? Or something else? Because honestly I think there's much more to him than being "power greedy". I have thing feeling he is even connected to Hwan for some reason...(⊙…⊙ )
The point is that Yama is controlling everything.
He controls Geumsum with 704 and 704's guilt that runs the risk of sending him to hell earlier. He controls 704 with the mistake that 704 believes he made with San. He controls San through the fact that he exists and continues to exist because Yama turns a blind eye. He controls Eunjae because if Geumsum, 704 and San weren't in his life, he'd be dead.
All of them are Yama's puppets and this is showing us how deep it goes.
