This is a first for me

As a girl, the way I was brought up always taught me that it's okay for a girl to dress in a manly way, it's even cute. But , if a Man starts to wear a skirt, it's disgusting. Society associates things related with woman like lipstick, heels, dresses or just a colour pink as something exclusive to them and shameful if worn by other genders.

It makes little children ashamed of things they love and makes them want to seem "Not like other girls". Internalised misogyny never seemed so prominent before.

I grew out of that way of thinking after turning 18. Seeing a Seme that owns up to the way he wants to dress is somehow manlier to me than listening to all those sexist pigs who tell me I am "Unique" and "different" than the rest of my gender.

yes, it might seem weird at first bc its out of the norm but thats how pants were for girls too back then saying a girl is trying to be a guy and all. dudes wear dress, skirts in other countries and its in their culture. society push the idea of how a man/woman should present themselves as, socialization and people just demanding things how it fits their ideology. ppl need to have some consideration and respect for others lifestyle

p.s. there's a manhwa called "Man Drowning in a Veil" it highlights the mc thats big/muscular struggling to be confident in the cute things he likes. I def rec for a read

One way of living, thinking, culture, societal norms have now overtaken other opinions and behaviour within different cultures. As you pointed out, many men wear skirts in different cultures too. Scottish and Maharashtrian are more prominent examples. Do you know of princess Qajar? She was a female with Mustache, A beauty symbol for whom 13 men had committed suicide.

My point is, may it be beauty or the definition of normal. It gets decided by the ones who are at the top, others have to keep trying hard to not lose their originality in the face of globalisation. Although, Changes are not always either.
Btw I also have read 'Man drowning in veil'
ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ I want to see more similar ones in future too
