I had the same thought.. it's to heartbreaking when they keep stopping them from meeting and i wonder why they chose that method but i think it's because of what her mother said about the fortune teller. That if they are together only bad things will happen. I think that's why.
To be honest, i find their plan quite dumb. There are multiple ways to avoid all this shit like say, i don’t know, maybe fucking double up on the security on the day of the wedding and not prevent them from falling in love ??? This is all so unnecessary if you really think about it, but ig we do need some kind of drama to get things going ig.
