there's a bunch of small chapters that dont really add enormously to the plot that they didnt animate, if you want to read them and dont mind taking a bit longer, but most of the development starts from the fireworks scene so I kinda recommend going from there since ull miss more than before if u start off later than that point.

Yup, I think so, but if you find it a bit too boring to see the stuff that happened already and if its keeping you from finding it interesting it shouldn't be a complete problem to skip to the end of s2
Personally I read the manga from where season 1 left off cause at that time season 2 didn't air yet. You can read from where season 2 left off but they tend to skip some chapters here and there. I still haven't read the 1st few volumes but I know there is a chapter for Valentine's day taht was supposed to happen in season 1 but they skipped over it. Those are minor things but if you wanna read everything then I suggest you start from the beginning
