Exactly she got close to him by herself because he can’t even read her thoughts so how will he casts a spell on her? She wanted to survive so she thought getting closer to the ml would help her not die but she went to Nocton thinking he was the ml and when she find out he isn’t and annoying Alice comes into the picture everything he do is a problem. Smh
ikr :(( nocton actually tries his best to not kill any person because of his promise with valrose & he's trying so hard not to look bad in front of the FL and tells her the truth. but she just doesn't trust nocton and thinks that everything he did & will be doing in the future are all bad things... well we can't blame the FL for being suspicious tho
But what she is going by is the novel she read in her past and Alice. Not noticing that everything IS NOT going by the novel, haven’t you noticed? She was supposed to be brainwashed like in the novel, wasn’t Nocton and Alice supposed to be in love too Yeah, they not so because of her changing the flow of the novel, he might as well be different too, I believe if she didn’t make him do that promise, he woulda been killing people like how the novel said wel it didn’t it just said he is a villain and so far he really isn’t just a shell with black magic and good and somewhat bad intentions.
I think the FL actually didn't got brainwashed or rather the spell didn't work on her. Nocton couldn't even hear her thoughts, so maybe Valrose (FL) isn't bothered by the black magic in the first place. She's been acting with her own accord to become close with Nocton so she can save herself from getting killed thinking that Nocton is the male lead in the novel she read, so she isn't most likely to be brainwashed like everyone else????
