Cause The other two got to suffer from their actions. Yugi end up really hurt for helping him cheat (not that I can't relate to that, I've actually have been in that exact situation and it really really sucks) and Mio was hurt for a long time for taking advantage of Yugi (yes, he was a teen, that doesn't change the fact that Yugi was on a very low point and wasn't able to say no). I'm glad that they only get together after years have passed and they have matured, but I still think Tachibana needed to get some sort of punishment (on my story, my senpai was dumped by his fianceé and he have to move out of the house they share)
