From what I understand, the Emperor has already fallen in love with Yerenica but because of the witch’s dark power lurking in the palace, and since Yen is very sensitive, they agree to separate for a few years. I’m not sure how long, maybe 5? Yen lives in the Temple for a while but then goes home. I think she has to wait a certain amount of time until she’s not so sensitive to magic. Like a type of cleanse so she can be normal like the other people in their world. It’s probably cuz her soul is not from what world. They communicate thru letters for a few months but then after a while the Emperor stops receiving letters from her. I guess Yen’s dad or someone stopped giving her his letters. He gets worried and desperate and sneaks into Yen’s country to see her. They meet each other earlier than the agreed time but the Emperor just couldn’t wait anymore. It is implied they sleep together that night when they meet at an inn and they get together (don’t remember). After that all I know is that get married and have kids and the Emperor is super protective of her. Her constitution is always delicate but they’re able to have kids and be happy. I read this from someone’s novel spoilers so it may not be exact but it’s the rough idea of what happens in the novel. Not sure if the webtoon will change things but I doubt it!
