It’s diverging from the novel I think?

I think they’re cutting a part out with Miele and the count which honestly is good because it was kinda a long way to make Miele look even worse spoilers below:

I read it awhile ago so I can’t remember, but basically, Miele pushes the count down a flight of stairs and severely cripples him, blaming it on aria. Cain then has to take over for the count, including helping the aristocratic faction hide a foreign army in the capital so that Isis can attack the royal family....except the foreign king she thinks she’s marrying is bbfs with Asher so he’s been playing her the entire time. He sends an army to the capitol where all they do is rack up bills for food as they “prepare” to attack, but then they just go home and leave the aristocrats with physical bills for expenses proving they had been raising an army which is how they all get caught and executed. I think aria is safe from blame because she might have been hiding in the foreign country already due to Asher asking his king friend to protect her while the rumors of her pushing the count died down. I can’t super remember but everyone in this story gets their justice, but it’s kinda sad how dumb isis ends up looking in the end. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

i also read it a while back, but i think the ring he gave her in the letter has like an alarm to it, because in the novel(the version i read)i think the ring broke and it alerted him so he used his magic and he got her out of the house after mielle pushed her father.
