Exactly. I would have been perfectly happy if Satoru ended up with no body. He has his friends, his mother, his dream career, and he accomplished everything he set out to do. Some people are never satisfied, though.
people literally bringing this entire manga down to who he ended up with. like who cares??? There's SO MUCH MORE to take away from this manga than who ended up with who. It's your opinion of course I respect it and the fact that you wanted him to end up with someone else. But why are you saying the manga would've been better if he ended up with someone else?? Like this manga isn't about who he ends up with...????? It has so much more, about his strong connection with his mom, his strong sense of friendship and sense of goals (in terms of justice, saving people, helping people, loving people), the friendships that brought the serial killer to justice, the love his mother gave him and the power she had to not give up on him, etc. etc. This manga is SO MUCH MORE than a ship I'm just so done with people belittling works for the sake of a ship -_-.
