This immediately made me think of Hitorijime My Hero, but that's not quite what you asked for. I've never read the manga for that one, but the anime was nice.
One sentence summary: A reluctant delinquent highschooler gets saved from a group of gangsters by a man who later turns out to be his teacher. (That's a very rough summary) Then there's romance because BL.
The age gap is a little weird ngl, but the teacher character has big glasses energy. I don't remember if he actually wore glasses haha.
