The ending was actually pretty interesting. My theory is that the brother didnt experiment on children but maybe he saved this child in some way. However Kai said his diary is buried and left with the brothers memory. The whole project was on memory transfer and dreams so maybe before the brother had died he transferred his memories to the little girl and the research had been the only success.

i feel so sorry for the brother getting to his part & knowing about him & the things he had to deal with got me heart broken, he must've felt sooo lonely..anywayyyy i liked this manga it was a deep emotional one, & i agree it would make a great movie.
but what was the password i didn't get that part, & i was confused at the end as well why was that girl standing there?(maybe he made her bury it..?)
