I'm traumatized by ch8. I don't know what to think anymore. Karino sharing Azusa means he doesn't really care about him but he uses the game to bully and protect him. No one is allowed to speak to him or to hurt him. The question is does he love him or not ? I think less than a lover but more than a plaything.

I'm pretty sure Karino does love him, he has loose screws on his brain and for a fact he is physiologically sick on his mind so he's showing it in a way that a normal person wouldn't find correct. Some people are incapable of showing a normal type of "love" when they express it they do it in a way that just sick or twisted. Theirs been cases of people who cut up of their wives/husbands or just their partner in pieces, in small little pieces and kept their dismembered body in their house frozen, ETC. If people ask them why did they do it. Their reasoning is "love", they "loved" their partner so much that they had no other choice to do it. I am not saying their going to end up like these people, but i am pretty sure if they do end up together "their happy ending" isn't going to be normal. Karino protects him from bullying, the creepy teacher, even hates it when someone else pays attention to his "property", so in turn he expresses his love by constantly forcing him to sex." For his bright idea of "sharing" azusa, he most likely did it because 1. the other dude has a week personality so he was easy to use, and most likely wouldn't get addicted to azusa body and 2. he and his sidekick had to find a way to make sure that they both stay away from each and never become friends. Karino is a sadist who expresses love through pain, i don't remember what chapter it was but karino has a delighted face because azusa isn't easy to control. He likes a guy with attitude<3

PS. I honesty do believe that he does love him, just that he is unable to show love in it's norm.

Yes he's a sadist who wants to control him and he's delighted to see Azusa's struggled face but he doesn't like to see him hurt physically. Karino likes his wilde nature he found a great toy who entertains him.

In fact I think we have the evidence that Karino loves Azusa in chap9 p34 when Atsumu thinks Karino has not the choice to bully Azusa because it's the king's duty but Kuze said no it's because Karino can't hold his emotions. So being a sadist is his way of loving.

I don't know about anon, but I partially agree with you; however, I need something more. While I do believe love can be expressed in many different ways, after chapter 8 I need to see something to convince me it is love (albeit a twisted love) and not merely a question of playing with a toy. I don't know what that something would look like, but it has to show a deeper connection or emotion on Karino's part. Nothing fluffy and sweet (because that would really disappoint me, TBH), but something more than what we have seen. Maybe I need to see the sadist bleed a little too for this love (not literally). I want...something.

Chapter 8 stopped being about exclusiveness between both guys. So your doubt came from this moment in the manga? I am going to also partially agree with you. I do would love most than just want i've seen, i want him to suffer a bit, but i don't want a clear cut confession but something more (twisted) to show his love. <I'm into twisted romance>
The thing is with me is that i automatically didn't see chapter 8 as a big thing that most people seam to have taken it. Mostly because the person they decided to "use' to rape azusa was someone with the weakest personality. If karino truly didn't love him and wouldn't mind someone raping him than he wouldn't have chosen the bunny but instead a wolf, or his partner in crime to show his dominance over the toy. But they pick a bunny who could be broken. I took it as a scene where both seme's decided to break the guy apart (not azusa).
Also since he is twisted he probably doesn't see the whole exclusiveness as being something to show your love, he most likely doesn't care about exclusiveness and hs love is expressed differently.

Same here! I believe Karino doesn't know or understand what he feels and it seems like they stopped developing their feelings after chap4. It was as if azusa woke up from what he thought could change him and his life,while Karino simply went back to his sadistic ways. That teacher must do sth to start the things from were they were left in chap 4

Yes,it's not about who fu**s azusa but who owns him. I agree Karino feels sth and he lost his cool which considering his personality is weird. But still more development is needed cuz they both don't know what they feel.

Exclusiveness is not the only way to show love, but I need a bit more than ownership. I'll agree with you about twisted love (I find that interesting too). I guess for me, if possessiveness is not what indicates love in this particular relationship, then what is? Karino rejects Azusa when Asuza comes to Karino's house and says this is a way to pass time until graduation. How does mere ownership and control show us it is more than that? Right now I feel like for Karino it could be either and interesting way to pass time or a twisted love. I am not sure which it is yet. I am team twisted love, don't get me wrong, but I am not sure Karino is there with me.

Yee, i honesty do believe that karino needs to figure out his feelings, but he does love (in a twisted way) him but he doesn't know himself what exactly it is or the name of such emotions but the readers (some) know that he is in love. :3
I love azusa he is my favorite uke, so i do want to want see more development, his feelings are hard to figure out, i have no idea what is thinking half of the time, the only think i know of him is that he wants revenge...

Azusa is my fav too. It's funny, but I think Azusa's "revenge" is proof that Azusa has feelings for Karino (even if I doubt Karino's feelings). I think the revenge is all about Azusa not wanting Karino to be able to just walk away after graduation and go one with Karino's life. Azusa is willing to destroy his own future to ensure Karino can't just leave like that. Twisted love, no?

Damn there's a whole analysis and debate going on here! This manga is amazing full stop. But guys remember that they are only like sixteen or something around that age. At that age I don't think kids really understand their feelings. I know I didn't at that age. I just wanted to have fun and fuck abou and pretend to be in love . p
