Shounen ai and bl are same though

BL is an umbrella term that includes yaoi and shounen-ai.

Not really bbs, u cant expect smut or a lot of it for shounenai, its more like boy love with intricate plot. Yaoi is like, smut dont expect much plot. BL covers both of these genres

Hmm i guess for some but most ppl agree yaoi and BL are way different. It's like yaoi is under BL:
BL
-Yaoi ( definitely smut, intense or not)
-Shounen ai (maybe smut, can be intense, but there's usually a more intricate plot that doesn't have sex scenes all the time)
