what kind of incompetent ass doctor cant tell when someone’s sleeping or in a coma

If I'm not mistaken, it's called vegetative state that's why the doctor said vegetable. And maybe because the medical tech at that time still not advanced that's why the doc cannot confirm whether she's brain dead or not and assumed she's dying already.
