Wait, I believes she already knows though. She commented on the way he looked at her and touched her face in chapter 26. She thanked him for removing the lint, but you can see she noticeably uncomfortable by it. I also think, regardless of knowing his feelings or not, she can't idealistically reciprocate those feelings as it would not align with her goals. She has shown to be very meticulous about her revenge planning thus far and tries to set him up with an ambitious woman who he manages to scare off. If anything, she is being willfully ignorant since romance with the prince is not an ideal outcome for her. He is following her instructions, because his love or dependency, and that is all she needs from him really.

I don't think she actually knows. I dont expect her to reciprocate anything rn but rn she only uncomfortable by the physical contact, not outright acknowledging his feelings. The whole scenario at the dance should have been a clear indication of something more yet she never reaches that conclusion at all. Her thinking he's nervous because of the party makes no sense when you know his character. She was aware and acknowledged (in her mind) or her ex fiances feelings yet somehow misses the Prince's? I know she wants to avoid romance for her revenge it doesn't appear she's 'willfully ignorant' right now, just oblivious.

My comment was cut off uggggh, I swear, I reach the same conclusion as you.
She lived for centuries observing people, she knows his character, why would he be nervous?
She asked him to be obsesses over her, what else do you want women!?
How can you not know? If anything it would make her a more entertaining character to acknowledge his feelings and take advantage of them, I mean, it is not like she is not taking advance of him right now, she pretty much is grooming him into being her little puppet ready for revenge.
As much as I am tired of the whole "h-h-he has feelings for me? :O" It can be done right, if the character is written in that way, like Katarina from Hametsu, her density comes out as fun or MC from Inso's law who is protecting her heart, but this MC? It doesn't make sense for her character to not reach to that conclusion quickly.
For example in The Lady and the Beast, MC is in reality an old woman in the body of a young lady, yet she reaches the conclusion her friend might have feelings for her "oh, this boy probably feels that way", is really not a big deal, the story can still continue.

Mm, if that's the case I can understand you being annoyed with the trope, but I find it fitting her character. Her ex-fiancee only comes to mind to her as he was the only one who showed any concerned for her in her previous life. Idk, I think her obliviousness to his feelings is fine as it coincide with her character as one who doesn't know love. I mean, she has been treated like crap for over 400 years and hadn't received an ounce of love from anyone all her life. At this point, I feel like it's kind of ingrained for her not to expect or seek love from those around her. She thought of her ex-fiancee's feelings because they were engaged, but its apparent she only sees the prince as a student and a person she needs to mold into a tyrant. Besides, whether she notices or not, his feelings for her is not her responsibility to manage, well not until he verbalizes it anyway. Those are just my thoughts tho', I'm not bothered by her obliviousness in this scenario but I can understand why you are.

Yeah you're right and as you said the obliviousness is something I really hate. But I assume she's gonna run away after she finds/acknowledges his feelings which might happen soon so I don't mind too much. Of course she has no obligation to return his feeling I just found it odd she didn't 'notice' them, especially with her statement that he should be obsessed with her. Logically you'd thing love could occur but yh there's tons of variables in this situation
Everything was great until she somehow doesn't recognise the love and lust he has for her. She isn't stupid so it should be very obvious for someone who can supposedly read emotions so well yet she throws about random excuses. Hoping the get rid of that issue very soon, other than that it's gooe
