age of consent in your country ( i would assume america since that's the federal law but even with that state laws can have exceptions if you are 16/17) may be 18, but that's not an international concept. important to keep in mind there's a complete difference in culture .

i agree with all of this but the first one. i think fictional characters can be aged up. if we are allowed to change the universe they live in to different things when writing(for example from jjk universe to our modern universe) then we should be allowed to change their age, school, responsibilties and etc. just cuz their not your characters doesnt mean you cant age them up in your own book

Some of y’all really need to learn the difference between sexualisation and giving characters a sexuality. These are teenagers who look and act like teenagers; by any means they are in now way sexualised. Also I read a comment that said you cannot age up characters like wtf? Of course you can, if you can draw them as kids obviously you can draw them as adults. Some of y’all forget that they don’t even exist. They aren’t real. And as long as they look and act like actual teenagers, then there’s nothing wrong with show casing them in sexual activities cause that’s what actual teenagers do. Plus I bet some of y’all watched Gossip Girl and Vampire Diaries and many other shows showcasing “acted” teenagers having sex.
