I guess for us it looks cool since tattoos are pretty and common but people in that world consider them ugly since it's uncommon and the curse is embedded in it...so I guess that's why they can't see how pretty it is?
Broooo I was actually thinking something similar as I kept thinking about it; honestly, standards of beauty are so varying so anything different in olden time periods and or alternate universes are reality won’t have the same perception to different societies. The same goes with us culturally. It’s crazy to think about
That's what i thought too... The male lead from i became a duke's maid also has cursed tattoos on his face and body, and his curse looks horrible... But the curse in this manhwa just look like a cool tattoos on a kid
I find it so funny that in these stories, the way curses are drawn usually just look like face tattoos so we can’t really imagine the extent of their so called “ugliness”. I’m sure if we were to see them in real life we might not be so indifferent
