bc he wanted the creep to go through his phone, if the creep saw he was recording he would’ve known it was a setup
Also he didn't think the creep will check his body for any traces of Eunsung. Only though that he might just go through his phone.
I still dont understand why he didn’t try to record this meeting with the creep would have been GOLD if he managed to get away with it
