In the city where I'm currently living, it's dangerous to do so... If they want to help, they'd call the police or an ambulance.
In my hometown, there's a chance, very low but it does happen, that they'll let some total stranger into their homes to help them. Usually, the old ones are more inclined to do it than the younger ones.
Japan has one of the lowest crime rates, so maybe it's not the drunken scenarios aren't too far-fetched? I've seen pictures of drunken Japanese businessmen passed out in public places. Idk about everything else though. They're probably just convenient plot points to get MCs to meet.

This was something I would see alot of when I was in Japan. Drunk men sleep in the park or on a street corner. No one bothered them. Police even looked at them an drove right by.
Is this common for people when they encounter someone lay on the ground, or drunkard in a garbage, or homeless sleep in a park, or even someone get shoot or stab, they just bring them back home?
Or is it just some fiction plot? Because there's so many manga with this type of plot, so i can't help but wondering if this kind of act is actually happen.
