I'm glad i wasn't the only one going wtf at the security camera comment lol my best guess is it's around the 1940-50s but this whole royal type setting seems a lot earlier than that (it would make more sense if it was just governmental bodies). I don't know what time period the author trying to go with so I'm just going to make peace with it and just go with the flow lol
