i was so excited for this tbh, I loved it till the last 6 pages tbh. I was a little sad that they even censored the "our first" but not the part after yone chan lost the weight. /sigh, like even if they showed it once or twice and then they showed the sex AFTER yone lost the weight, I wouldn't have minded, but this kinda is like saying "you don't need to see fat people have sex" which is disappointing and a little bit divergent from how amazing this story was. I wonder if the editors had anything to do with that tbh, cause I know sometimes there are strict editing processes and they may have censored the author's creativity.
You make a good point about the editor. I probably should give the author the benefit of the doubt because the decision might not have been their's alone.
Whatever the reason, like you, I found the ending compromised the overarching message of the story.
I also could have appreciated the ending more, if they had talked about him losing weight because they were concerned about his health. Instead, him becoming thin seemed to have been added only to avoid showing an overweight person having sex.
Sadly, if him having sex when he's heavy has to be censored, but him having sex when he's thin can be shown, I don't know what conclusion readers like you and I can reach other than the one we did.
Seemed to me that his first was painful that's why they didn't show it ( in the censored part he kept saying ouch ) but yea at least one time when he is fat should have made us happy
And I've read bara mangas, yaoi smex scenes with chubby guys can be hot too. BUT! But the censored first sex scene is adorable too and fit well with the tone of the story.
Hopefully there'll be more extra where we got to see smex scene with chubby Yone.
Maybe sensei just wanted to show them as adults doing it as opposed to teens. To maintain the innocence?
Or maybe sensei tried drawing it, but it didn't turn out well.

We'll never know for sure. The fact that they did have sex, I feel like whether it was showed it or not, the message still remains the same that Arai loved everything about him.

By not showing yone chan having sex until AFTER he lost a ton of weight the author is basically saying fat people are OK if you don't have to see them have sex and they lose weight eventually.
