Off of my memory it takes some time but Damien and Lucia get close and Hugh gets jealous (yeah HUGH gets jealous) and so Hugh tries to spend even more time with her and so they spend time together as a little family trio things like taking walks with each other , this is from the novel so im not sure if it will follow the exact plot line
