Yeah... You are right, and the action of Navier who lack of affection is also the effect of her duty from learning about how to become the perfect empress who will support her husband the emperor.
honestly this is a prime example of two stubborn people in a relationship with a lack of communication skills. the emperor is in love with navier but he doesn’t think she feels the same way so ultimately he seemed out another woman. navier loved sovieshu but wasn’t affectionate and feels as if sovieshu never loved her. it’s seriously such a bad match. that’s why her and heinley would work so much better cause he’s more honest with his emotions which in turn somewhat softens navier as well. sheesh..
