Well, that's because this Hwang Dongsu dude knows that Thomas will step up slash intervene once a guild member of his gets beaten or somethin' (〜￣△￣)〜

Even Hwang is in fault here since Thomas treats his guild as something like his property and Jinwoo messed with his property, he will interpret this as directly messing with him.
You know, after he became a National ranking Authority (I'm not sure with with the term XD) Hunter he became full of himself. He is used of being untouched. This mentality is even present in most of high ranking hunters. That what makes Jinwoo different from them.
