that’s the excuse everyone uses. but the more harrowing issue is that editing/adding/slandering a creators work on the LITERAL work, is wrong wrong wrong. i don’t actually care that much about whether i get good translations or not. or even at all. everyone is right when they say people can pay for it legally on tappytoon (though it is a bit behind the translations here). but this is how creators stop creating. what the translator is doing is above and beyond inappropriate. we are not good for reading illegal translations but what the translator is doing is much worse imo
If you don't like the translator notes, just don't read them. They are absolutely right.
I don't agree that Doona still likes Minho, I just think that she hates him so much + she's obviously crazy so she's doing whatever she wants. But other than this, the translator is right. The author is writing Minho as people she hates irl, aka she's saying that "tough cowardly men" should get abused and raped. You can't change my mind, because the author literally said he was inspired by men she hates the most, and making Minho go through all these stuff is literally saying that those men irl should go through this too. It's disgusting and disturbing. Her making Doona look like the victim is even grosser, because no one is getting hurt other than Minho, Doona is just having fun.
Again, if you don't care about the translator's opinion, don't read it & stop complaining when they took their time to translate this for you to read for free. If you want to read a clean version - go and pay for it. If you don't want to or can't, just don't read the damn notes. Also, they are just saying their opinion, the translator doesn't say you should feel the same way. Also, if the translator hates the characters, it doesn't mean they don't like the manga. I hate all of them, but I do like the manga, there is nothing wrong with it and I don't understand how not liking the characters means that they don't like the story or the manga itself...
