yup i live in the US and it's ofc present over here as well, my mom always told me that i didnt actually like girls and that i only like guys and thought that i just admired girls when i literally was swooning over many of my girl crushes in the past. it sucks to see how bad it is across the world since the US is a very open minded country. i hate how people blame juho for his words and actions when he just doesn't have that understanding on how someone can actually like many genders when in the past, he was played by someone that he thought did actually like guys too. he's coming out of his shell now and is improving the same way my mom did, she now understands that i like guys and girls and doesn't say things about it
jaemin is bi (or pan). but the thing is, in korea, people are very biphobic. in their minds bisexuals who are in same-sex relationships will eventually ditch their partner to find an opposite-sex one instead and marry and have kids and fulfill their parents' and society's expectations. this misconception isn't simply purposefully shedding negative light on the bi community, but the bi community in asia in general just isn't understood enough (this also comes from past trauma). bisexuality in korea (in asia) from the looks of others: gay is a phase, i'm straight. that's why gays are scared of being in a relationship with a bi.
