ion wanna justify the ex for his stupid actions but i think it was bc at that point he was so distraught and was probably convinced he was dead :/
I really don't like the ex but I can sympathise with him.
From his perspective the MC just kinda vanished and they all thought he was dead so I don't really blame him for trying to move on. It must've been hard to come to terms with the fact that your bf(who he's known all his life) is gone so ig it just got too painful for him that he decided to find someone else.
