wow. every single thing you just said sums up why I foolishly keep reading her works. I feel like reading her works is almost like a battery- I get hyped in teh beginning of the story since it's pretty good, but then I start to "loose battery power" because the whole story seems to drag on and it starts to feel exhausting sometimes as you wonder when it'll finally end. Also, the thing I don't seem to like about this author's works is that she always puts an adult teacher that seems to be older than the characters and who fall either for the lead female or male. I saw it in Oh Chunja Chunja High School Bullying, (another one of the author's works), where the female lead considers dating the gym teacher who is OLDER THAN HER AROUND 34 FREAKIN YEARS OLD!! Like, doesn't it ever cross their minds that they have an illegal relationship and that he's dating a minor in HIGH SCHOOL???
HMR's manhwa have a way of pissing me off, even when there's a happy ending lol. Maybe it's because the bad characters are just so senselessly bad? They're so one-track it's like they're all just mentally unstable (though in this particular manga they were definitely acknowledged as such but just in general lol).
Even when they turn "good", there's never a sense of remorse or regret; it's just some petty one-page realization that's just self-centered anyway. There's never a sense of "oh, I hurt these people. Oops!" but just like "ugh this isn't working and I'm tired of doing this over and over again so whatever". So the resolutions just serve to tick me off lol! And then, of course, she only shows a max of 5 pages of happiness at the end, as if the 50+ chapters of hell they just went through didn't earn them at least one bullshit free chapter.
But, still, they're somehow so addictive I keep reading them. (*´Д`)=з
